A terrific product. We lost power on Thanksgiving and retrieved light sticks from the emergency kits in our cars to use for light. This brand was bright and long lasting while another brand gave out little light and did not last long. Using light sticks was much safer than using candles, especially with children around. Another plus, you can carry the light stick around with you. These light sticks gave us another thing to be thankful for.
One recommendation. It would be handy if they came with lanyards. Some brands do. During our electrical outage, we all "wore" out nightsticks.

These were really great quality glow sticks, I used them for halloween and they were going very strongly from 5pm until 10pm... they still had a decent glow the next morning and they still had detectible glow well into the next day!
The rest I'll keep around for emergencies, they would be great even in a medium term situation you needed light, or for camping.

Just had a power outage last night, and so glad I bought these based on the high ratings and reviews here! These aren't as bright as candles, but they're definitely safer. We used flashlights for finer illumination, but leaving just one of these each in various rooms sufficed for night lights and simple navigation throughout the house. I'll be ordering another box since we went through half of these last night, and the stormy season is just beginning in the the Pacific NW.

These are bright and the little hook makes it easy to hang on a lanyard or nail. They did last for the amount of time specified in the description but it was very hard to snap. I had to stand on it and pull with my hand to do it. If I didn't have to do that it would be five stars.
