Nice tool for the money

T slot holder is huge. Was aware of this from the reviews, easy enough to remove the excess material. Don't have a mill, so mounted in my four jaw chuck and lathed off the excess to fit the t slot on the lathe. Nice to have a knurling attachment as well. Do need to know where I can get more knurl wheels, they will go bad after a while.

I replaced my old Lantern style tool post holder with this new style holder for my 12" Craftsman Atlas Lathe. I did have to machine the metal base that comes with it. This piece needs to be milled to fit in the slot on the crossfeed, then the new tool holder colts right into it. The threads in the new tool post are metric so it won't fit your old metal bar so you have to use the one that comes with this, unless you have one with metric threads.

This has been mounted on a South Bend Model A lathe. The Post nut will need to be modified to fit your cross slide. I new this going in to the purchase. Overall quality is good
