Thumb side of glove was bent outwards, which didn't allow the glove to properly create a large pocket. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was just a bad glove, or if the design of the glove resulted in this defect. Attractive look, but the leather in the H web was stretched out as well. Made in Vietnam (that's a plus over China as far as I'm concerned). No bad smells, comfortable and well-fitting otherwise.
I would say regardless of the money this is one of the finest gloves for any age

I purchased this Glove for my 10 yr old son. He is in his 2nd year of LL and needed a real glove going forward. We looked at, an scrutinized dozens of gloves before settling on this Rawlings. I've had my Rawlings for over 30yrs. and this glove meets the same quality and fit as my old one. I hope he has as many fond memories as i do using this glove. I would say regardless of the money this is one of the finest gloves for any age!

I'm 37 years old and my son is just getting into baseball. I needed a new glove so we could play catch. This is a beautiful glove! It comes pretty broken in and soft. The smell of the leather is heavenly. I used some Wilson Pro Stock glove conditioner on this (three applications) and left it tied up around a ball for a couple of weeks. This broke it in further. I got the all brown version and the fur around the adjustment strap is so comfy. I'm glad I spent a little bit extra and got a good quality glove. Don't hesitate. I'd highly recommend this glove.

You can't beat this for the money for rec league level play. The leather quality is excellent and the glove looks great and feels durable. I broke it in in two days by simply playing catch and then wrapping a ball in the pocket with a belt cinched around it tightly overnight. I feel certain it will last for years (I've had it now for 2.5 weeks). I bought this for my 10.5-year old son (4'10", 85 lbs) even though it's an adult size, and he is able to use this as broken in.
This is definitely a rec league glove however. With higher speed pitching (~60-70+ mph) you'll start to feel the relative lack of padding in the palm and fingers. If my son continues with catching past Little League, or maybe after Pony League, I'll get him an upgrade on this glove.

This glove costs far less than most of the Rawlings gloves, but the quality is excellent. Very well made glove. The glove breaks in well, but is very rugged. Could have spent a lot more, but I don't think a more expensive glove would look better or make any difference on the field. A+
