Okay after a long time of shopping on amazon for a couch i finally decided to go with this one. I'll try to address all the questions i had even after reading all the reviews
Shipping. It was shipped by fedex on 9/12 from MN and was on truck for delivery to LA on 9/15 (i messed up my address so fedex couldnt deliver it till 7/18) 3 day shipping is quick tho!
Smell. Some people commented on a bad smell? Mine sure doesnt. The cushions smell of a light resemblance of the inside of a new acoustic guitar. I love that smell thank you very much.
Packaging. Frame parts in one box and cushions compressed in one box (its been 15 mins and im laying on it as i write this.. so comfortable!) Made in usa if that matters to you. And yes it comes with the covers and if you want more covers youll have to buy more. These ones are enough for me. Both boxes i was able to carry inside by myself (female not the strongest)
I will update the rest of the points once i put it together and use it for a couple days. So far so good!

Okay its been a day and i absolutely love it. For somrthing under $300 its very hard to find something so comfortable. Yes yes and yes again.

Back support: i was worried that the back support wouldnt hold two people withought being against a wall but it does. You just cant be putting so much weight on it. Its held by two bolts, its not a lazy boy lets get real.
Assembly: easy peezy lemon squeezy. 10 bolts and four washers. Tools included. Itll take an hour tops.
One extra note, if you buy this plan on not really being able to return it.. its just not worth the hassle. Once the cushions are out youll have to find a new box big enough, youll have to ship it, and youll have to pay for the 25% restocking fee.

So disappointed with the sofa! Super overly-rated product, does not worth $300 at all. Quality is so poor. Where do I start...

Came with strong odor, checked the futon mattress filling, 80% cotton felt, which makes me sneeze all the time. Be aware if you are sensitive/allergic to this type of materials. The futon mattress is thin and super uncomfortableit's, no rest for the neck, poor supporting to the back. The futon supporting wood belts have cracks.

Cosmetically, color does not match what's in the description, I was expecting a white background with flowers on it, like English Garden. However, the mattress cover background is towards yellowish.

Update: I shipped back the returns on 07/31/2017. (Confirmed by FedEX). However, OJCommerce claimed that they did not receive the items, also ignored ALL of my email inquiries....Unbelievable, unless you want to deal with the endless refund process, AVOID BUYING THIS PRODUCT at any cost!

My house has an awkward little room upstairs that's a guest room/bunny room/reading nook, and we spent a long time searching for the perfect piece of furniture to fill it out. We needed something small and comfortable that could extend into extra sleeping space and finally settled on this futon after sitting on it in a store. (We bought it on Amazon because it was cheaper here, with free shipping.)

Information you might not get from online listings:
* The solid colors (red, orange, blue, black) are a soft sort of micro-suede texture, while the patterns are a flat woven fabric with no real texture.
* The mechanism that moves the arms up and down is the same type you find on certain lawn furniture. To move the arm down, you have to pull it all the way upright first, then lower it to the angle you want.
* The frame feels sturdy but isn't terribly heavy - easy for one person to reposition.

Assembly was easier than I expected. I'm small and not super handy, but I hauled it upstairs and put it together on my own in less than half an hour.

This futon is my new favorite spot in the house. It's comfortable and feels supportive. The arms adjust to a few different angles between 90 degrees and flat, so you can adjust it however you like it, making it the perfect napping couch. The only downside is that the back cushions are on the thin side, but the futon itself is nice and deep, so there's plenty of room to solve that with throw pillows. Ours is basically a pillow nest at this point, which I highly recommend.

I agonized over whether to order this or a more traditional futon, but the space I wanted it for was very small so I opted for this.. and it is perfect. I needed another 'bedroom' for a teen, and was able to fit this into the small area and it transformed it into a bedroom.

It ships in two packages and shipped very fast, much faster than the estimated arrival time. The frame work came with all the bolts and tools that you need. You have to attach the four legs, then bolt on the two end pieces, then the back. I would say total assembly time was maybe 15 minutes but there were three of us doing it all at once. There are wooden slats on it that are in place when it arrives so all you do is bolt on the legs, sides and back.

The mattress arrived the next day...and before I put it onto the framework, I did have a thick piece of foam rubber that I decided to slip onto the framework then set the mattress on top of it. Super comfy, does not squeak or groan. The ends fold up and down easily and it is just about perfect for what I wanted it for. The 15 year old that is sleeping on it loves it.. especially that she can slip the sides up and down.

The mattress came covered, but the two pillows had to be inserted into the pillow covers (which close with a zipper).

It sits a little low to the floor but it is still high enough up that you can slide things under it to get them out of site. I plan to get a couple plastic containers that we can slide under it sort of like drawers.

I don't have any complaints, it looks exactly like the photo they supplied and took a small area and turned it into a bedroom!

Easy enough to put it together. Had a problem with the last screw, but the company's custserv is really a 5 star and they sent me a replacement side rail right away. I bought this futon for my small office studio room and it will be placed against the wall, but for now, I have it free standing in the middle of the living room while I wait for my new couch. The only thing I don't like about this little gem is that the back cushions are not sturdy enough and you can feel the back rails right away. I imagine it will be better once it is agains the wall. I added extra pillows.
