This was my second time purchasing this shower head. I found out I liked this shower head when I used it at a family members house once. At the time, I was looking for a new one"¦I had recently gone through two others that I hated because they didn't wash my hair well and this one made my hair feel amazing and super clean on one of the most practical settings it had. I purchased it in the silver color because I just wanted the exact same one they had and didn't want to take any chances.

It lasted about a year before it broke. Several months before that, I experienced the really bad rust some others on here mentioned"¦mainly on the hose but a little on the actual head too. I tried cleaning products that were supposed to help with that, but they didn't help at all. Oh well, it looked ugly but everything was still functioning just as well. Finally around the one year mark I mentioned, I had the issue that several other reviews talked about with the hose basically snapping off and spraying water everywhere in the bathroom. So disappointing and frustrating! (To be fair, we used it to wash the dog earlier that day so maybe that added to the recent wear and tear because the dog is big and not easy to wash.) After I cleaned up the mess, I went to a store and purchased a new shower head, different brand, a little bigger, almost more than double the price and one that claimed it was "the best" for hair washing. Ended up hating it, the settings weren't good and it did not wash my hair well.

Talked to a friend who said they go through at least two shower heads (with hoses) a year, all different brands, they always break, it's just what they do. (Before this, I always had the non-hose kind.) After hearing that, I was like, screw it, I'm just going to go order the same one that I loved and when it breaks, it breaks, you just get a new one. (By the way, the family member who originally had this shower head, still has their's going strong after 3 years and doesn't even have the rust problem, so they think it has to do with the kind of water I have.)

Anyways, this time I ordered it in the oil rubbed bronze. It goes better with my bathroom. I've only had it on for two days now and so far so good. Use this review to form your own decision based on your own needs, but even though I know this shower head won't last forever, it's still the best I've ever had for hair washing, so to me it's worth it.

Update on the oil rubbed bronze shower head 2 1/2 months later"¦ looks like the hose is just painted black over silver so the paint is already chipping at the part where the hose curves. I can't tell if this is a rust issue or if it's just a paint chipping issue. It kind of looks like both because I have seen a little bit of rust beginning in the same area as well. Tried rust cleaning products but that didn't help and I think that made the chipping worse. Everything else is still working well.

This is so worth the money. I removed the low flow gasket from the handel and WOW this has a ton of pressure. It can be turned off from the handle if you are worried about wasting water while you lather up. The hose is nice and not cheap plastic. This was super easy to install and came with everything you need including pipe tape and extra gaskets. You will not be dissapointed!! Go buy this now!!!!!!

I was a little confused at first on how to install, but once I realized how it worked it was super easy! I installed it & used it and I was very satisfied with it. All of the settings are great to use, has nice pressure & it's easy to hang it back up when done using the hand held mode. You can also leave it hooked onto the holder & it does a great job as a regular shower head.

I have large shower stall, not a tub (it's about 3/4 the size of a standard tub) and I'm only 5 foot 3. I now have to shower very close to the wall.
