If I had to buy the Brand Name rolls I wouldn't even use the vac machine; the cost offsets any savings I get from buying bulk. So I panicked momentarily when the previous seller of my off market rolls disappeared from here. These are the same heavy duty, high quality rolls I'm used to, along with the 8" width I prefer, and I'm thankful for it.
I work these hard folding down the open end two inches for filling; it's a lot of manipulating on an 8" bag. I've yet to have a problem with them either in the freezer or the sous vide. Great product!

Very pleased with these bag rolls. I've always purchased the Food Saver brand, but have found these to be every bit as good. I've been using these for freezer storage and Sous Vide cooking for several months now. They work perfectly for both purposes. I'll never pay extra for the name brand again. Very pleased with the quality and value - highly recommended!

This product is great! Now, understand that they are much too big to fit in my Foodsaver 5800 series vacu-sealer. All you need is a piece of tape, either a cardboard roll from a Foodsaver bag roll or a paper towel roll, and a little patience. Simply tape the end of the large roll to the cardboard roll, and roll up enough to fit into your vacu-sealer. Then cut off the roll and use! Eventually (and it does take a LONG time as these rolls are huge!), you'll be able to fit the roll into your machine. The bags themselves are identical to the high-priced ones, and the only difference that I can see is there are no white areas to write on.........If that's a deal breaker for you, then by all means, spend more money!

These bags are a GREAT bargain, expected if you a pepper like we are! First off I don't believe that there is a vacuum bag out there that won't puncture when loaded with dry similar sharp dried foods but these hold up well as the others.
Other than that you WILL NOT find a better deal on these bags out there! We WILL be buying more of these when my last purchase ever starts dwindling down. True, they don't fit in the machine but I don't mind the time it take enough off the huge roll to make a fitting roll. I can't think of anything that won't fit in these except a super sized roast or something and currently we aren't dehydrating a roast except for sliced and turned to jerky then vacuumed in these bags. Once again, I highly recommend them before they're bought up!

I have used these Avid armor bags five times now, and I cannot tell a difference between them and the name brand. One side is textured and one side smooth, just like the name brand. As you can see by the pictures, the cheese is in the name brand and the chicken is in the Avid armor brand. Great product, Great price. Highly recommend Avid armor rolls for storing food. Will definitely be buying again.The only difference I see is that the name brand has it's name on it and the Avid armor brand is clear.
