Gun came in with slanted piece where it supports your ear and the earring goes through. The gun doesn't snap or help you push the earring through, it is all you pushing it through. Half of the earrings were extremely dull and/or bent. The ones that were "sharp" was still dull. Even though not safe honestly a safety pin or even a thumb tack is sharper. I don't recommend that anyone should buy this honestly. Also mirror was crack even though that didn't matter to me.
All those earings sent cheap and unnecessary should be sent with 2 or 3 better quality ...

small, fits perfect in my hand.
Pros: Lots of studs, then pen, and adjustable. Metal and able to put through sterilization process.
Cons: No instructions (Had to play around with it for a bit), the studs are loose so you don't really get that "straight through" piercing, especially if the person jumps or jerks, the little rubber backings don't stay, it didn't even go on the stud even though they were perfectly lined up...again the loose fitting for the stud. The mirror won't stay in place, the case easily opens. The studs should be wrapped better as they are no longer sterile when you go to grab them out even with gloves on. (Thank goodness I have my own but even the studs that came with are loose.)
These are just the issues I had the first time using it or looking at it. You be the judge, though. You get what you spend.

I'm not impressed by any means. This isn't a horrible piercing gun but I would not buy it again. The gun does not hold the stud very well or verry straight for than matter. The post slumps down at a angle making it a challenge to hit your mark accurately. Not to mention the rubber backing included does not line up with the post so more times than not the post just pushes the backing out of the slot that holds rather than inserting into the back like intended. I contacted the seller about this and they basically said sorry it's not as good as you expected just return it to Amazon. So take that statement for what you will. Bottom line it's a low cost gun and the quality reflects that. It can be used but it's troublesome at best. Buy at your discretion I guess.
