Great Product, eat them every day

A friend recommended these (purchased at COSTCO), I tried them, I liked them a lot. Each package is 4.2 oz dried potatoes, makes 3 or 4 servings, takes 12 minutes (at sea level). I saute some chopped onions and add before grilling, store the ungrilled but cooked mixture in the frig.
Brilliant.

Huh. I was not expecting to be impressed, but it comes out better and more consistent than if you made it from scratch. Ridiculously easy, too. The instructions on the box are a bit wonky - you definitely need to fry them for longer than 3-4 minutes - but other than that, a very pleasant surprise.
Totally Shocked me!

These hash browns really do taste as good as any frozen brand like Ore Ida or Great Value.
I'll use these mostly for my hurricane food supply and camping.

These were recently purchased for our pantry and come in a box of eight individual cartons that are supposed to contain 7 servings each. We found that the servings were closer to 5. When we prepared the product we added (according to the instructions) water up to the 'fill line' and used water that was near to boiling. After allowing the carton to sit, closed, for the requisite 12 minutes I placed the contents in a hot cast iron skillet with about 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in it. The potatoes were divided into 4 portions to make handling them easier and then cooked for about 7 minutes before turning. The bottom was nice and golden brown and after another 5 minutes they were golden brown on both sides. The last time I tried reconstituted hash brown potatoes was about twenty years ago and I found them to be nasty. They tasted like chemicals to me which was probably the fault of the preservatives.
These tasted great. They were almost like real has brown potatoes made from scratch but without all the trouble. I am ordering another package of 8 cartons next time we order from Amazon because these are definitely worth the storage space they take up. People say that as much as you can, to stock up on what you like to eat. So this is going on my list. I suggest you try them, the price is right and I am confident that you will find them palatable if not very tasty.

These are exactly, identical, if not better then grating your own garden fresh potatoes. Excellent. Just potatoes. Pop the little 5" box open, add water right in the box, let em sit to soak up the water and fry up. Add more water in the box for less crisp, softer hash browns. They taste more like fresh potatoes then your favorite 24 hr. breakfast joint. Fool proof unless you burn em. Keep em on hand for a fast breakfast, tired mornings, rainy cold mornings, summertime mornings, off to church mornings, camping, kids cooking.
