Disappointing - you might have to pay more for better engineering
HPM•June 17, 2018
I hate to say it, but this unit looks and feels great but performs poorly. I had my leopold stolen, and that unit performed 1000% better. Leopold even replaced it for free when the LCD in the view finder became dim after 5 years, yes a free replacement after 5 years, now that is customer service.
This unit works without a doubt, but for it's primary most important task - distance to the flag stick - it simply under preforms terribly. I have a steady hand and years of experience so this is not due to operator error.
Litterally 80% of the time, despite a half dozen attempts it just doesn't register the flag stick. Including sighting the stick or the flag. It even has challenges sighting on to other golfers on the green most of the time, I think due to either movement or the colors they might be wearing?
Most of the time out if frustration I end up sighting to a tree, a knoll, or a sand trap that I judge from the fairway to be off equal distance, just to get a rough approximation. That is just not the experience needed to get accurate readings, or what to expect from a laser.
By the end of the day the frustration is not what you need to carry over into your golf game. To be honest I am not sure what is the proper solution as I am not about to pay $500 for a product that really needs to be under $200 from a value point of view.
After 6 months with this unit, I have today asked the seller to replace it in the hopes I simply got a bad one. I'll try to report back with their response.

Everything you want in a rangefinder for half the price of everyone else.

This is hands down the best deal for a range finder on the market. I bought it because I wanted a cheap rangefinder and the fact that it had slope for an extra $50 bucks compared to the cheapest possible non slope reading rangefinder I could find it was a no brainer. I am a 3 handicap and have used most range finders out there. My dad has a bushnell he bough a couple of years ago and we usually end up using my yardage because of the slope. The numbers were identical to the bushnell. It is tournament legal which is great. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a rangefinder, its at least half the price with all the functionality. I dont do a lot of reviews and I dont give out 5 stars unless the product is absolutely worth it and this is.
This is the best rangefinder for the money.

I have used a few rangefinders, some expensive, some cheap. This is the best rangefinder for the money. There is no reason to buy the name brands for hundreds of dollars more. I can't believe how well it works. It even catches sagging flags 200 yards away. The slope reading is totally worth the extra money. I use it all of the time.
In my opinion, it is as good as the much more expensive models... and its a lot cheaper, not as fun though, than a good caddie

Works as good as my Bushnell slope version. Really good deal when you consider it. Kind of funny it is slightly off of my original Bushnell with slope, but when I compared it to my friends new style Bushnell it seems really close if not exactly the same... Just an observation.
When I lose this or my other Bushnell (I run 2 full sets of clubs exactly the same so I don't have to haul them around), I will buy another one.

As Accurate as the more expensive bushnells!

Very accurate. The slope setting has saved me a couple strokes already!
I think the accuracy is right in line with what you'd get from the more expensive Bushnell versions.
