I purchased this 12-pack of Liquid Skin after buying a package at The Dollar Tree and trying it out. I have issues with cracked skin on my fingers, especially after I've been cleaning and using harsh chemicals. Not only are these cracks extremely painful, but they usually take weeks to heal due to the fact that they are on my hands and I am washing them frequently throughout the day, thus impeding the healing. I developed a crack on my finger just after buying this product and had the chance to try it out right away. I applied the Liquid Skin to my freshly washed and dried crack. It did sting a bit, but that subsided pretty quickly. The liquid smells a lot like super glue, but it didn't dry as quickly and has a little bit of what I'd describe as an oily film to it. The first application didn't take very well, it broke open fairly easily. I wasn't ready to give up though, I went back and applied two more coats of the Liquid Bandage, allowing them to dry completely between application, and that seemed to do the trick. I was left with a waterproof barrier to my wound that lasted until it healed. Because the wound was protected, the healing process was dramatically speeded up compared to normal- about a week, compared to several weeks. I also noticed another skin crack beginning to form and I applied Liquid Skin as a preventive measure and it totally worked to stop the crack from going any deeper into the tissue. My child scratched the palm of her hand the same week and the wound started turning a little red due to the difficulty of keeping a child's hand wound clean. I cleaned and dried her wound, applied several coats of the Liquid Skin, and the wound was then able to heal with the redness subsiding.
All of the to say that based on my experience the product is great for wounds that are difficult to keep a traditional bandage on. The only trick to using it to make sure to use several coats in order to ensure a long lasting bandage.

Works great, can reseal if creative.

This stuff is awesome! I had a lengthwise cut on one of my fingers that was done with a super sharp knife, while carelessly sharpening it. It was one of those cuts that was so clean it didn't even hurt or bleed. I noticed it about an hour later. Since it didn't bleed it didn't get a scab and was not going to heal. It began to hurt a lot every time I used my finger and the two parts moved against each other under my sterile bandaid. Also the bandaid was not letting the rest of my finger breathe so my cuticle was beginning to have some issues. I was going to just use regular superglue from my garage, but decided maybe a product designed for the purpose was a smarter idea. I ordered these and got next day shipping. I cleaned the cut area very well again (ouch) and then put two coats of this product over it, letting it dry in between. As soon as the second coat dried, I had no move pain with movement as everything was held in place, and I was able to get back to my life without even thinking about it again. Today, about three days later, I noticed the glue had mostly been removed with hand washing etc., so I reapplied it, took a picture and decided to write this review.
I used the same tube as the first time. Out of curiosity, after I sealed my finger, I sealed the tube back up with a tiny dollop of hot glue, and stored it sitting upright with the original cap snapped back in place. Three days later I was able to use it again, it had not dried out as I expected it to. This time I sealed it up with candle wax (too lazy to get the hot glue gun out again) we'll see if it works as well.
One time use or multiple, through creative resealing, a great product and something I've added to all my first aid kits.

I'm always barefoot or in flip flops. It's summer, which means I'm swimming in chlorinated water a lot more, which dries my skin. I started developing some deep cracks on my big toes where they were calloused, and every time I walked they cracked a little more. Didn't matter if I wore a bandaid or wrapped it somehow. I used Gold Bond's Cracked skin Relief, and again it worked until I walked around. I tried New Skin (original) and it helped, but I had to reapply it often. Then I spilled it 😒"¦
I decided on this stuff because it was the only thing that shipped quickly. I like having smaller bottles, since I'm known to spill everything! It works FAST and stays on for days. It's super duper sticky, so be careful when you apply it. Start with a thin layer, wait for it to dry all the way (2-5 mins), then apply another thin layer. If you make it too thick, it'll drip all over. I accidentally glued my toe to a towel! 🤦ðŸ»"â'€ï¸
It's waterproof, sweat proof, and doesn't smell. I just wish it wasn't in such a flimsy container!
You should see my toe now, after about 5-6 days of using it. Just one more area that needs to heal. â˜ºï¸ I'm switching to this instead of new Skin from now on! Maybe I'll finally be able to get that pedi I need so bad"¦.
Hope this helps!

temper your expectations - it's not magic, but it can work great given practice

I tried using this on a fairly bad gash I got from slipping while cutting a watermelon. It was right on the edge of what is recommended for getting stitches (almost .75in long, and almost .25in deep). Luckily it was on a mostly non-mobile part of my ring finger, between two knuckles.
I tried using this product on it by holding the wound shut and covering it with the liquid bandage. The wound did not quite perfectly meet together, so it wasn't going to heal very well... Also, the liquid bandage did not hold terribly well. It hardened so much that it started peeling pretty soon after putting it on. I tried protecting the liquid bandage with a regular bandage over top, but all that did was trap moisture which caused it to peel faster. I also tried it with a surgical glove over top, since I often need to wash my hands and every time I washed them, it would cause a little more peeling. The surgical glove also trapped too much moisture.
I messed with it quite a bit over the next day or two, and came up with something that worked well for me.
First, I took a very narrow butterfly bandage and put it over the middle of the wound to force it to close and for its edges to meet very near perfectly. Then, around the sides of the butterly bandage, I applied a very thin layer of liquid bandage to the outside of the wound. You may be tempted to put it on thick, but that just makes it peel easily. Putting it on thin keeps it somewhat flexible. Finally, if I need to do anything that will get my hands dirty, I'd put on a surgical glove for a bit but take it off when not needed. I avoided getting any water on the wound as much as possible.
Before this method, I kept pulling the wound open and resetting its healing. It was open on and off for a good 2 days before I tried the above method. Using this method, it mostly healed closed after another 2 days and within a week it was almost completely healed on the outside. I could tell it still had to heal more inside.
