I switched from a full-sized backpack to this one and I don't regret it. There's more than enough room for most daily necessities and probably a small laptop or tablet too. I use it as my work bag.
The materials and construction are fine and most of the enclosures are magnetic, you don't need to open the buckles in the front. There are multiple outside zippered compartments for quick access items (like office ID cards or train passes).
My only complaint is something someone else mentioned. Carrying it as a shoulder bag is somewhat awkward. There are a few adjustments, but the only way to comfortably carry the bag, is as it's designed, as a sling bag.
My old backpack lasted 4 years, so time will tell how long this will last.

First of all, this bag holds more than the pictures of it would have you believe. My initial thought was to use this as an everyday carry all for my wallet, and other essentials, but it's simply too big for that. So I decided to use to replace my laptop bag. I've managed to fit my Surface Pro 8, iPad Pro 12.9, extra keyboard cover for the iPad Pro, cords, cables, chargers, etc.

If I have one slight issue with it, it's the length of the back strap. It's just too long. Even on it's shortest adjustment there's still too much slack to comfortably sling it over your shoulder without there being a massive space where the bottom of the bag rests against the bottom of your back. Because the upper portion is sewn in to the bag, there's no way you can replace it with a shorter strap.

Aside from this small complaint this is a great bag, and I can see myself using it for a long time.

I bought this pack for our trip to Canada as well as subsequent trips. Coffee color is neutral and really nice looking. Good quality pack with lots of storage options. I like the way it slings over your shoulder like a messenger bag. Looks sharp and you don't have to be yet another of the millions of people with nylon backpacks. When I wear it, it sits comfortably on my lower back and it's adjustable as well. Perhaps shorter people (I'm 5'9") might have a bit of a problem adjusting for their size, though not sure. Read reviews from girls/women.The 2 buckled straps you see in front are essentially decorative in that they are held onto the pack with magnets that easily disengage. When you sling to pack to the side they will disengage.This is a slight design flaw that caused me to give it 4 stars but in practice it doesn't matter much. Not a big problem and the pack has many pockets and zippers for excellent utility. It's held passports, sunglasses, several large books, all without issue. I highly recommend this pack for day trips, vacations, etc. For guys like me, we have limited pocket space after phone, wallet and keys. This is great place to keep everything else, including subway maps, a sweatshirt, books, and umbrella, and everything you need for the day in an organized manner. I won't take another day trip or vacation without it.

This is my second bag like this. Love the single shoulder bag feel.

I've had the Gen 1 of this bag and I gotta say they fixed all the flaws. I put my 12" drawing tablet in it fine. From the dice it could probably fit a 15", but my 12" fits perfect! :)
