We put this in my 3 year old's bathroom for her books, everything is much more tidy with an organizer. It's plenty wide for books and magazines. It's not that deep, maybe enough for 3-4 magazines per shelf.

This is wide enough to hold extra wide magazines; strong, but light weight, it is easily moved for cleaning floors or vacuuming carpets.
