I was very excited initially about these pants. However after only 3 usues in chlorinated pools, they are already disintegrating and dry rotting. As an aquatic professional I take good care of my clothes and equipment and rinse them off with fresh water after being used and dry them out carefully. I do not use those suit drying spinners. I will probably not buy this brand again.

My parents wanted to go white water rafting down the Colorado River. I live in Alaska, so was terrified of the heat and amount of sunscreen I would need to buy to keep from frying. While I was disbelieving of the sun/SPF aspect of these pants, they were fantastic. I'm SO glad I bought these for my week long trip. I wore them every day and while I do wish I'd had a second pair, this was camping with a lot of time getting wet. I know I pulled a few stiches because I took them off/put them back on wet a few times but the pants were none worse for wear. I was also sitting on the non-skid material the pants didn't really snag etc like I half expected.
I'm 5' 10.5" and weight about 175-180 I think I got a large. I was very hesitant with the sizing so read a lot of reviews/Q&A to figure out sizes. I think Amazon's recommended sizing is probably closer to accurate, my waist is 36", hips 42" (give or take). They were comfortable, the band didn't dig into my waist. I will say the pants were a little short, they were above my ankle bone, but considering how much skin they did cover I really didn't mind putting sun screen on my ankles.
Keep in mind I really needed this product for 7 days, I don't know how they would hold up long term or in chlorinated water. I washed them but didn't put them in the dryer. In the sun, they dry pretty fast. These were the best buy for my trip - really recommend them!

I am 5 foot 8 and these fit great in length. FYI if you have small ankles these will be loose at the ankles. I bought an extra large they fit great. The waist band comes up very high and fits tight. That's my only complaint. Very cute swimming pants

I purchased these to wear to a swimming party - get in and out of the pool and not have to deal with lotion. I wore them with my swimsuit underneath so I'd feel more "covered". They're a bit thin, but they provided the modesty and sun protection I wanted. I will definitely use these again the next time I want to be in and out of the pool on a sunny day.
