I have just replaced a similar unit with this one after about 5 years of use after it started acting flakey. I depend on it to let me know how much gas is left in my BBQ grill's propane tank. This gauge like the last one seems to do a good job of that. It also appears well made. An extra bonus is that it will tell you if there is a leak in the system. You do that by leaving your grill knobs in the off position and turning the gas on at the tank. The gauge will read your gas level. Then you turn off the gas at the tank and leave it alone for a few minutes. The gauge will continue to read the gas level without dropping if there is no leak. If there is a leak the level will drop. Very useful!
