These are half the weight of the GE OEM filters. I can hear the filter media rattling around inside the canister. Other than that, seems to be a good replacement with the quick disconnect ends. We'll see...

Be sure to follow direction for rinsing the cartridge thoroughly before using to prevent black carbon in the ice. I previously used GE cartridges which required only a brief rinse. These cartridges require running about 6 gallons of water through them to clear the loose carbon. Otherwise, performs well.
