I bought this cable for another purpose
I am using as a gutter and downspout defroster
And it went in very easy and drew the current to melt the ice in thy gutter / downspout so I don't get ice bridges

Its summer time here so its hard to know exactly how it will work out, but:
- Installation went smooth
- No missing pieces
- Seemed to heat up quickly
- Seemed well built
But after this next winter, we'll know more! We're a professional gutter and heat tape company so we're trying to find a good budget/residential tape to use for all of our future installs. We'll check in with the customers this winter, see how the tape is working, and then decide next Spring which brand we are going with for all of our installs!

But I have it installed and ready to go as needed. Installation was easy. I was able to install by myself using an eight foot ladder. As far as how they function, I am unable to rate. I will update review after weather requires me to power them on.
