When I got my new phone, an S8+, I first ordered a really pretty, low profile drop proof case. But when I put the case on my phone I realized the reason it has to make the phone drop proof was because the case is so slippery that it almost slides out of my hand constantly.
I bought these clear grippy stickers to put on the back and sides of my pretty case without ruining the look of the case itself. They work perfectly! My case has alllll kinds of grip and I can't even slide it across my desk anymore. Perfection!
The instructions say that you can't put the grippy stickers on the sides of the phone since it is a thin and curved phone edge. Perhaps that is true if putting the stickers directly onto the phone. But the case makes the phone thick enough that the stickers adhere perfectly and now I have grippiness on the sides of my phone too. Will definitely order these stickers again for my next phone.

Update: these didn't last long. The Sticky part comes off quickly. Not worth the cost.
Put these in my mophie case because I thought it would help me grip it better. Easy to install, affordable, and great clear product to see the color of the phone etc... but the tacky part of the product peels off if you try to put in your pocket or purse. Great idea... maybe I need to try the full sheet ones or a heavier duty one.

One of these is sufficient to keep my S7 Edge from sliding around. Perfect fit....placed it right where my hand usually rests holding the phone. Good grippy feel. When I set the phone face up on the arm of my leather rocker/recliner, it doesn't budge. Doesn't slide off my car console now. Easily removed without residue. I've added one of these to each of my 3 cases. Works equally well with a naked phone. I've used this brand on previous phones and they stayed clear, didn't yellow.
Tried one that covered the entire back but found it was overkill. This size works better for me. Recommend.

Only after buying a Dell Inspiron 15z laptop off the internet without actually seeing one firsthand did I discover that the substantial metal construction meant excess weight. Within a few months I had dropped it on a concrete driveway lifting it out of my backpack. The combination of heavy weight, slick metallic laptop surfaces and a dry hand pretty much guaranteed it. This damaged the screen such that if I wamted to see/view it, I folded up a business card, crammed it in the crack between rhe keyboard section and the screen, and adjusted the angle of the screen just right. Then the screen would appear ok. Otherwise it would go blank like the laptop was off. The laptop itself was continuously on. However the screen would eventually start flickering and then go off until I could once again find the exact position/angle to reset it at. Eventually paid somewhere between. $300 - $400 to have Dell service repair it. Since applying and using egrips there has been no problems holding the laptop securely.

I've used these before and they're great for someone like me with dry hands and for whom my phone used to slip out of my hands so easily. They're very low profile, and do not detract much from the appearance of the phone or the phone case, as I've put Egrips on the back a of good shock-resistant phone case. Sure, they wear off along the edges as you put the phone in your pocket and pull it out day after day, but it still serves its intended purpose, and eventually I may just peel it off and put a new one on.
