but I heard that cod oil was nasty and this oil was like an average vegetable oil with a hint of cod ...
Alex•July 27, 2017
I was in a local Russian store recently and while browsing in the canned foods isle, a thought of trying out some cod liver came to mind. I chose this "no name" can with "Cod Live in Own Oil" because it was the cheapest one from the assortment, priced at $1.69 while the average price of the rest was at $3.00+. The cod liver was delicate, tasty and there was nothing off-putting about it. There was plenty of oil, but I heard that cod oil was nasty and this oil was like an average vegetable oil with a hint of cod liver; I dipped the microwaved rye bread into the oil that remained in the can after I was done with the cod liver. I bought and ate 2 more cans of this cod liver.
Tastes Wonderful

Delicious. I love cod liver on toast with some lemon juice on it. This is my all time favorite lunch although you will have the breath of a kitty cat after you eat a can.
Real fat cod liver

Just like childhood memories, my mother feeding me a fish oil with a chunk of salted black bread...
Great that they offer this

Great that they offer this. I did notice a positive difference in my body after eating it a few times over a couple of weeks. I have trouble absorbing vitamin A from other foods, and this seems more natural than supplements.
Tasty.
