This bag is really adorable. Its replacing my daughter's old dance bag, which is too small. I like that this bag is big enough for a change of clothes and has a spot for a drink/snacks. There was a fair plastic smell I'm sure will improve and the pink contrast actually has a little sparkle to it, so that was a nice surprise. The material is very thin though, especially where the contrast fabric is on top, so I'm expecting this might last a year, if less. I think for the price I would have expected it a bit sturdier. Will update after further use.

Update: August 2020. This bag is still going strong. Lasted the whole year, no rips or tears. Lots of room as her shoes are getting bigger, we need it

Update October 2021. This bag is still going strong. No rips no tears, not even a single fray. Its been great!

Update update: January 2022. Best bag ever. Indestructable. Looks new.

This is a good sturdy bag, but my favorite part is that the shoes go in their own pocket so her leotard and other dance things don't get dirty!

Just received my order of 3 Kilofly brand Dance bags yesterday and so far they have met my expectations and my daughter and I are very happy! ( I will be sure to update my review later if anything changes once we begin using the bags for a while).

I was searching for dance bags for my daughters as the simple tote bags we have been using are not sufficient now that my daughters have gotten more involved with dance. They now need many different types of shoes to be carried around along with things like water bottles, snacks, additional clothing, hair accessories etc. I started my search on Amazon of course, and this was one of the first bags to show up on the search list. I realize that one of the other kids in dance class had brought this exact same bag with her to class and it was right next to me on the shelf, so it was nice to be able to see the bag in person as I was looking it over online :).

The bag looks sturdy and has many different pockets and zippered compartments to help organize one's items. There are two of the standard smaller handles for your hands, and one long adjustable nylon bag strap with padding on it to sling the bag across your shoulders. There is the large main zippered part of the bag with three small inner pockets on one side, and one inner zippered compartment on the other side for small essentials. There's also a smaller zippered section on the outside front of the bag for more organization. What I really like however is that there is a zippered compartment on one side of the bag with a separate area just perfect for storing your SHOES. It's like having an attached shoe bag within the bag. Shoes are dirty of course so with this separate zippered section you can keep your dance shoes from dirtying up other items in the main part of your bag. I really love this picture of the bag and I just hope that the material stays strong and stays sewn together. It's such a great feature to have in a bag, but I admit the inner lining of this section is a bit thin so we shall see how it lasts.

There is a mesh pocket for a water bottle on the outside of the bag - just be aware only a skinnier bottle will fit. There is also a Velcro closure pocket right next to the mesh pocket - just be aware only smaller/skinnier items like an iPhone 5 will fit. Just for fun I've included a photo showing a phone and water bottle that DO fit and also a phone and water bottle that do NOT fit.

Now about the various bag colors!
I've mentioned how another girl at our dance class had this exact bag already so I did get to look at the bag in person before ordering it. This other girl's Kilofly Dance bag was a very pretty PINK, and on Amazon none of the bags were labeled as being pink but I realized that the one that is labeled as being RED looks pink all in the Amazon photos and looked exactly the same as the one this girl had right here in class. My youngest daughter loves pink so I took a chance and decided to order the "RED" one here on Amazon with full trust that it would end up being pink, and also one in purple and one in blue.
Sure enough the "red" bag is definitely totally PINK and not red at all - yay! The blue one and the purple one are also beautiful and looks just like the photos show in the Amazon listing.
