this is a really great pack. there are more than enough places to keep all your trail tools and it wears really well. the pockets around the waist straps are good for keys, I like the way the pack felt on my back and it wasn't difficult to move or climb in. the material is tough and doesn't tear. I highly recommend this pack to all hikers and climbers. I use it for travel as well. its just the right size..LOVE iT!!!

Got this for my son Boy Scout great for a day hike maybe not for a overnighter tho but it severed it purpose and the have great customer service .

This backpack was great!! It fit quite a lot of stuff and was heavy duty when being dragged around another country. I carried it all over the country of Peru and it was extremely comfortable to carry. It fit well into the overhead compartment of a plane as a carry on item. I purchased it in hopes that it would fit as a carry on but didn't come across any info about that in any of the reviews so I hope I can help someone else out by letting you know that it does fit.
