Although the original washing instructions made worried me, the pillow cases have held up over the past two months better than expected. I wash them every week and they look the same as the first day I bought them. (I wash them zipped up with my sheets in a front loader with tide, then lay them over my drying rack.)

If I'd been aware of the fragility of these pillow cases I never would've bought them. They need to be hand washed-yes, AND laid on a towel to dry (And they aren't nearly as silky as other pillowcases I've purchased in the past.)
They still shrunk when I washed them the first time. I give them a lifespan of a couple months before they fall apart.

I love these pillow cases! The pink paisley is just as bright and colorful as pictured and even prettier in person! Sleeping with silk pillowcases has helped my curls grow thicker and longer since they don't break as easily. It is supposed to be good for skin too! Definitely worth the investment.
