It works! And for a 14x14 room that seems to trap all the smells from the kitchen- plus I noticed other parts of house nearby are fresher. The hum is a pleasant sound and blends into the white noise I play, but some ppl might not like that it makes noise like some humidifiers do. It is similar to the rainmate. Clean the same way as rainmate- warm water (not hot) remove the little nozzle (counter clockwise) and use mild dish soap and bottle brush then reattach. It has an led light that rotates colors option or no light option with a switch. I was looking for a more cost effective way to clean the air without buying expensive filters in the air purifier every four months. We have pets. I think this is great. I'm getting another one.

It works as advertised. It is nice and quiet while running. The only problems if you call them problems is one the top dosent lock on, it just sits on top, and two the water evaporates rather quickly I fill it every other day.
