Good for small desserts

This seemed like a good deal and it was. Yet, these servers are appropriate for smaller desserts- anything that's one tiered and less than 8" in diameter. Trying to cut a three layered, 8" cake was a bit difficult because the server was too short. Ah, well. Lesson learned!

These were smaller than I thought, but I'm only using them as servers for 10" pies so not a big deal. I definitely would not use them for pizza. I added twine and burlap to give them a more rustic look for our BBQ and Brews Welcome Party.

This is my second time purchasing these pie servers (yeah, pie. Not cake, usually). I'd looked around for years for good-quality servers and always ended up with huge ugly ones that were expensive. These are absolutely everything I needed. The size is perfect for pie slices or brownies or even cake. The stainless steel seems to be good quality so far -- I send them through the dishwasher without issue, and they are heavy, not light. One side of each server has sharp serrations, so you can use them to cut, but it's awkward because there's no sharp tip like a knife. These pie servers look SO MUCH BETTER than those servers with rubber or plastic handles or the ginormous ones that won't even fit in a pie plate. Highly recommend.

I admit I was extremely skeptical when I purchased these and expected I would have to return them based on other reviews. At that price, how could they not be flimsy, right? Wrong! They're actually very functional and very useful for the huge holiday get-togethers when 10 people have brought pie.
I love that these are serrated, so they serve as knife and pie server. I wouldn't use them for anything really solid like a still-frozen ice cream pie, or to cut and serve a brownie/cookie dessert bar with a very thick base, but use them as advertised and you'll be fine -- they'll handle just about any other kind of pie or cake.
Would I use them for an intimate, fancy sit-down dinner with special guests? No, but in that case I wouldn't need so many of them anyway. And now I can bring one along with me when I contribute a pie or cake to an event, and at that price, I don't have to stress about getting it back.
