I tried a similar product at a big box store but didn't want to pay the high price tag. This one works just as well, if not better. It's heftier than the one I saw in stores, which is good in some ways, as it provides more weight to get into those knots, but may not be suitable for those who have a hard time holding something heavy for long. It's only about 1 lb though.
I have fibromyalgia and it was obvious when it hit a tender point. It felt nice to work some of those knots out!

I had tried the larger one at a friends house and thought this one would work for me. But when it arrived I found that the curve wasn't large enough and the inside points would press in places that actually hurt. Unfortunately I have waited too long to be able to return it and am stuck with it. Hoping to buy the larger one soon.

Don't know what other reviewers were talking about. The Back Buddy Jr is quite solid and strong. I was worried the Jr would be too small but if you go to mfr website you see it's only a little smaller than the original. The Jr is long enough for me to get to my back. I'm skinny but I'm tall. I wish the tight hook end had a teardrop on it like the original.
This thing hasn't solved my back problems but it helps loosen that one spot that PT is working on also.
$30 is too much money for a hunk of plastic. Tried to find a used/discarded one on CL.
