Bad reels, but a fun challenge to fish a tournament

I bought some of these for a kiddie fishing derby. The derby was a blast, but the reels didn't hold out very good. My drag quit 1.5 hours in and I had to use my fingers. My girlfriends line got messed up inside and we had to cut out a bunch. She did manage to catch a 29" walleye on one. The fiberglass rod won't break, but the reel is garbage.

I ordered two of these for our moms club fishing derby for kids to use that didn't have their own poles. These were the perfect size for the little kids and they enjoyed the Olaf on them. We have had some issues with getting them to work correctly since that event but they were well worth what we paid for them for the amount of kids we had at the event using them.
Would recommend for anyone looking for an inexpensive, easy to use pole to teach young children how to fish with.

Super cute little fishing pole I purchased for my 5 year old daughter. The first time she took it out fishing, she caught two sunfish before something much larger jerked her hook, line, and bobber under and right out of the pole! Fortunately my little scrapper kept a tight grip on the pole so we didn't lose it. So far it has lasted her the summer and is still going strong. Casts smoothly. The little casting plug was perfect for teaching her how to cast in our back yard. She loves it!
