Great Tricyle

This trike was much easier and sturdier than the last one I got for my daughter. Instructions to put it together could have been done better but overall putting it all together was pretty simple process. Only problem I had with this was it squeaked after our first trip around the block, so I put some WD40 on the wheel area and that fixed it. One other feature they can incorporate into this is a braking system like the last one I had. Overall I am still happy with this because of the smoothness of the ride and how it feels like it was actually an engineered product.
Love it. Use it more than our stroller

Love it. Use it more than our stroller. Like the versatility of using it at 9 months, and then being able to use it as a trike. Got our money's worth after the first month. Portable enough. Seems durable. Front basket does not stay on well. Handle doesn't quite match direction of wheels. Wish there was a way to disengage child steering so they could pretend to turn without fighting against me steering.
Not for outside use

assembly would have been very easy if many of the parts would have been precut properly. Poor design and material, my child is 2 and we walk 2 miles outside daily. The wheels are small and built for natural terrain, the steering column is terrible and you must wiggle back and forth to keep it in a straight line. The seating area is safe a comfortable.
Safe and secure for little ones.

We gave it to our 8 month old granddaughter for Christmas and she and her parents are delighted with it. The baby guard is an outstanding feature, as well as the canopy. There are short pedals for her to put her feet on as she grows and then the regular pedals that will help her learn to make it go herself. Also the handle bars will prepare her for when she's on her own. It's easy steering for the adult, and the adjustable adult handle is ideal for short and tall parents, which she has.
Dangerous!

I had been using this for a few months. My little boy loved it!
Until one day while I was pushing him his foot got caught between the spinning pedal and the foot rest. Yes, I had the pedal unlocked, on the free moving setting which should have kept him safe from such an accident. How could this happen? Poor baby cried and cried. Thank goodness no serious injury happened. I am severely disappointed and upset.
Update: I submitted a review to the Joovy website. They denied publishing it with this response:
"Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!"
Shame on you Joovy.
