These worked quite well for filtering deep fryer oil. Oil was pretty gross and had sat a couple of days, so I was skeptical... but it filtered very well and was completely clear and looked almost new. It helps to pick the filter up a little from the funnel so it can breath... otherwise it will flow a little slower. I heated the oil up to 110 degrees and it flowed much better than room temp, but not too hot to melt plastic funnel.

I've used these filters for over 10 years. They have saved me a lot of money in that span of time. We use them for every fried turkey and fish fry we have during the year. When finished recycling your oil, just toss the filter in the trash, or better yet use it to start a bonfire during those cold months.

These are perfect for filtering oil from my fryer. They are thicker and a lot more sturdy then coffee filters. Drains quicker too. Glad i gave these a try.

These work pretty well to strain used fryer oil, and also for filtering stock/broth. I actually use them more for stock/broth than I do for fryer oil, frying at home is usually a messy proposition. Coffee filters filter too slowly and clog too quickly. A nice multipurpose filter for the kitchen.
