I don't generally spare the time to write reviews but this thing was fantastic especially for the price. I wear a size 10/12 Medium/Large in street clothes, very athletic with some padding. However my boobs are only a medium/large B and are saggy from being a mom, and they are pretty far apart so I rarely can find something that gives me great cleavage. The cups on this are not super padded but they are very close together, and they gave me some of the best cleavage I've ever had. Seriously makes me look like a perky 20 year old prebaby C/D cups (I'm 36 with young twins and the resultant boobs).

Other great stuff - the material is very attractive and looks very high quality. It looks like it cost three times what I paid. The corset back makes it extremely adjustable and there is a black fabric panel behind the strings so it looks good even if you need a lot of slack in the strings. Also, it has a zipper running up the side which is AWESOME. No spending 15 sweaty minutes trying to do up 10 eye hooks with your arms aching - put it on loose, zip it up, adjust the strings to the proper tightness, take it off and fix how the strings look, loosen it a tiny bit, put it back on, zip up and pull the strings tight. Relatively easy.

Also, the wide shoulder straps are more flattering and make it look appropriate if you want to look really sexy to go clubbing or something. I bought it for bedroom use and you can really show a lot of boob, but if I didn't pull my boobs out as far it would be an acceptable level of sexy to wear in public.

I only leave reviews if I know it might help others. The first time I ordered I went by the sizing guidelines and ordered a 3XL. I'm 5'3, 160lbs, 38-40c, 35" waist. With the 3XL, I was able to cinch it all the way closed with more room to spare. Although technically this "fit", being that I wear corsets tight (as they are meant to be to achieve the hourglass shape), it was essentially too large. I sent it back for the 2XL instead, and this one does what I want it to do. Much of it comes down to what you are wearing it for. If it's just for boudoir or bedroom fun, the bigger size is probably what you want. If you are using it in a costume and want maximum effect, I'd go smaller. The overall quality is decent for the price, but if you have really big ta-tas, then this corset will be an issue for you, as it barely keeps me concealed. You would probably want pasties or some type of undershirt if you are larger than a 38c.

The only other thing I can say is, have someone help you put it on. It is a bit awkward at first, and you have to literally pull your girls up and the corset down to get it to sit right before zipping. The zipper tends to catch on the inner fabric flap (at least mine does), so it's easier with extra hands to hold everything taught. Then have someone cinch it down as far as you want it.

My daughter goes to many costume events and I bought this for her. She has a lovely hourglass shape and the fit was perfect. She especially liked the fact that once it has been laced in the back for a perfect fit, the corset can be taken on and off with the side zipper, so no need for tedious re-lacing. This would be a knockout for a formal event paired with a maxi skirt, or worn over a chemise for a Renaissance Fair or Pirate Festival. The Steel Blue Damask fabric is lovely and the dark boning is slimming. It will fit perfectly because you can lace it to fit each curve. My daughter's figure is 41/31/43 and she is 5'4". We bought x-large in spiral steel blue and love it!

I followed the advice of another reviewer, so I will stress this to everyone else as well. I bought this product to incorporate into a halloween costume. I am going to be the white swan from Swan Lake ballet. I did as another reviewer suggested. If you will measure yourself accurately as instructed in the sizing chart, then this product will fit you just perfectly. I was a little scared about ordering a 2x considering I am 5'10"-5'11", 155lbs and very fit. I normally wear a size small or medium in most clothing items. I just measured myself generously and followed the size chart. It fits perfectly and it is not too tight. The only thing is that it is kind of big for my boobs, but that can be easily fixed with silicone padding.

As for the quality of this item, I was very happy with it. It does not look or feel cheaply made. It looks really pretty and it will be perfect for my halloween costume.

I will stress this one more time: Follow the size chart and you will be fine. Be sure to measure yourself accurately and do not guess. If I had guessed, I would have ordered a large or extra large and it wouldn't have fit. Follow the size chart, measure accurately and generously and you will be fine. I would say if you're falling inbetween a size, probably go with the bigger size.

Got a Large cause I heard they ran small. I am usually a medium in American sizes. Even ordering a size up, I had to widen the back almost as far as it would go, & my waist is borderline between 29/30 inches.
Having said that, I absolutely love this waist trimmer! It's my first "corset" of any kind, and I chose this one as a starter just to see if I liked it. I do! It gives a nice slim fit without cutting off my air, and I had much more mobility than I thought I was going to! It's fairly well-made for the price, and the side zipper meant I could get it on & off by myself. Only thing is I wish the shoulder straps were adjustable, because I have small shoulders & they kept slipping a bit. The cup size is also a bit big for me (I'm a C-cup, & I have a feeling that having to order the large for the waist size means they assume you have bigger boobs too?) I will probably have to add a small gather to rein in both the straps and the cups a bit, but no biggie.
As for the "corset" part, I've been keeping the ties loose for now, but will probably go tighter over time. I wore it twice for ~20min at home just to get used to the feeling, and finally went out for a night with it on last week. I had no problems and didn't feel constricted, and I had it on for 6-7 hrs (and felt sexy the whole time!)
