I was worried that these would be too tight in the waist, but after reviewing the answers to my question, I chose the size 4(L) in Indigo and Natural. I am 5' 6.5" tall and they fit me perfectly and have plenty of stretch in the waist so are not too tight at all. Haven't had them long enough to judge their longevity, but if they last well I will update this post. They are nice and soft with a matte finish. There is a very slight sheen to them if you get in the right light, but for the most part they are matte finish. These are not seamless. They do have a seam across the toes and up the front and back in the crotch area, but they are soft. Like other tights of this type the indigo pair kind of changes colors and opacity depending on the light and how tightly they are stretched over your skin. I have seen other asking about compression. I don't see where these mention they should be compression type. They don't seem to be and that is not what I wanted anyway, so they are fine to me. I am updating my review to take away a star... Although overall they look OK, they do have flaws in the finish that bother me. In some colors it is easier to see than others. You can see it in my photos if you look closely... There are variations in the color (stripes) that show up in certain lighting conditions. The blue color showed it more than the natural, but they are there. The blue ones I purchased also had a small hole
right by the sewing in the crotch area that ripped the second time I wore them, so they do have some issues.

2ND UPDATE: After my last review, I was contacted by the Sofsy vendor who were very nice and helpful about my review. They shipped out a new pair of the tan tights that I requested and they are perfect. I added three more photos. I can find no imperfections in this pair and am very pleased with the support I was given. I have to add again that I really like the Sofsy waistband because it is not so tight. I added back a star for the great customer support and the fact that the replacement tights seem perfect. Great job... Thanks!

3RD Update: Just a sizing note... I am 5' 6" tall and weigh around 140 pounds. I have decided that the Medium size is perfect for me. They have a nice stretch and the large will do, but it is just a little loose. The Medium is better.

Worked perfect for a costom but color is darker and more see through then ad picture.

For the Principal at the middle school, I work lunch at, I saw her wearing the tights/pantyhose at work on 3-24-2023 and they seemed a bit odd like she could not get comfortable in them due how they are between tights and pantyhose. Since then the principal has worn the tights/pantyhose only with pants that would be too thin to wear during winter having mentioned to me she was wearing them lots during the winter one time with thinner pants and I could see one time her wearing them with a longer winter skirt.

I love the softness and sheerness of these 40 denier tights. Just the right amount of coverage for your legs. They make them look great. I think they are worth spending a little more for.

These were fantastic. I bought two pairs, one for a formal night out, and one for a casino Halloween party. No tacky thigh line, thick but comfortable and soft. The level of sheerness was perfect. I danced my pretty little bumb off all Halloween, and no runs. Didn't seem to snag easily either. Sizing was accurate.
