Cheaper Barbie but love it
Lauren•September 6, 2017
I got this for my daughter & it's greats super cute & I love that her body shape is more "flat toned abs" instead of "bombshell hourglass". It's a bit "cheaper" feeling to me than other barbies when it comes to the plastic of the body. Maybe I'm just old & remember the dense rubbery thickness of barbies 25 years ago, but this feels lighter, cheaper (but what isn't these days I guess?!)
The rest of it (outfit, hair, facial design) is all Barbie quality, but I'm worried if I stepped on this one it would break (vs being able to steam roller older barbies without damage). Also, she wears boots- that means she has flat feet (not pointed toe) so her shoes won't fit pointy toe barbies and she can't wear the regular Barbie high heels so costume changes are limited- her body shape doesn't affect many outfits either. Not a big deal to us, but just FYI if you have a kid who gets upset about those things.

Bad Hair Day

A little disappointed.. The Barbie's hair came matted, frizzy and ratty. ðŸ' I know it not supposed to be "exactly like the picture" but it's a mess! ðŸ˜
Cute Tall Farmer Barbie comes with adorable chicken
iiiireader•March 25, 2017
This is a really lovely Barbie. She is in the Tall body style with larger, flat feet. I especially like to collect the new body styles as I think it is important for my granddaughter (who will get to play with my dolls when she is old enough) to see that Barbies come in all shapes, sizes and colors "“ just like all people.
Barbie has light tan skin with light mauve lips. She has a light blush "“ kind of like a kiss of sun burn which a farmer just might have. Her eyes are two tones of light and medium taupe brown and her painted on eye brows are a good match for the eye tone. Her hair is waist length with a side part and wavy curls toward the bottom. The hair is in a medium and light tone of blonde. Again, just like the sun might highlight her hair if she was out in it on a daily basis.
Barbie has articulation points only at her shoulders and hips. I would have loved to see an articulated body (like made-to-move) on this doll but that was not to be. Her left arm is straight with the palm pointed down. Her right arm has a slight bend (all the better to hold her chicken which is included.) Her right palm faces in.
She comes with a chicken and three clothing pieces: stretchy cap sleeve top, worn blue jeans, and really cool brown boots (which fit the new flat feet "“ yay!) The top is red plaid and has collar, pockets, and buttons all printed "“ it is merely a stretch top with hook and loop closure at the back. The jeans are also stretch and the "worn" look is printed on them. The jeans have an elastic waist so there is no need for closure. The chicken is really cute and is a fun play accessory.
I think that the doll is a great springtime toy for a youngster. It Is the perfect time of year to explain farming or how to raise chickens. If you have the opportunity to teach someone young about growing their own food, this doll can be a great aid in those lessons. I grow my square foot garden in tabletop planters and have been teaching my grandchildren to help me. I will use this Barbie as a fun playtime teaching tool.

What a great Barbie! We have egg laying chickens and my daughter loves to help me collect the eggs and pet the chickens. I am so happy this Barbie comes with a chicken, my daughter is going to love it when she gets it for Christmas!
It's about time Barbie started raising chickens! She looks great!

I have to admit that this is the first Barbie I have had since probably 1975, so I was pleasantly surprised at how much more girl-next-door and less undernourished fashion model this Barbie is! Of course I love that she is a chicken keeper! It's about TIME Barbie got chickens! Her jeans are kind of weird, light and stretchy, but otherwise, I just love this doll!
