As soon as I put it on the snare and started playing I had a smile on my face the whole gig.
It sounded great wherever you hit it and whatever volume you played.
Usually it would take some tweaking to get a good sound especially in a outdoor environment. This head was ready for action.

I've tried every drum head on the market for my Mapex snare and was ready to concede it was not the drum for me. I saw this head from Evans that I'd never used and thought I'd give it a shot based on all the glowing reviews. I slapped in on, tuned it up and it sounds like a $500 drum now. No need for tape, or goop to dampen obnoxious ringing. Very easy to tune as well. I'll never use another head, and it's worth the extra money.

I got these heads for my snare, 10 inch rack tom, and 16 floor tom, along with Evans Resolve heads, and I'm in love with the control and tone they give! The toms sound deep and earthy, but have very distinct tones, and the snare gives a warm, crisp sound! Will likely get again!

I love the feel and sound of this drumhead on my brass snare but I seem to be the only one that has issues with the coating flaking off rather quickly. The first head started flaking and I thought I had a dud and the second one flaked off within a few weeks. I still have it on my snare and doesn't seem to be effecting the sound. Still sounds awesome. I hope the next time I replace the head the coating stays on.
