Amazing fly boots

This is my 3rd time purchasing this product. My horse got a summer sore on her leg. She is highly allergic to flies. These are well made and very sturdy. After cleaning and treating the sore on the leg, I would cover with these boots. They lasted for months. The only reason I had to repeat purchase these boots was my dog. He liked to chew on the removed bandages. He would grab the boots and hide them, or attempt to chew them up. I highly recommend these to anybody with a horse needing protection from flies on the legs. Or to protect bandaging.
Great protection for the price

They stay up very well and hold their shape, the best of any fly boots I've seen. I like the color; however, it is rubbing off the plastic in places, leaving a white plastic. They are starting to get holes in them above the fetlocks, right where I assume, she is kicking herself and the nails on the shoes are cutting the plastic. Normal wear and tear that I'd expect. They are protecting her from reopening cuts on the insides of her front legs where she was kicking herself. I'd rather the boots than her legs get cut.
Great fly protection.

Cashell makes great products. These fly boot leg protecters are a must in Florida in summer. Flys always concentrate on horses legs. These keep any from biting. They are sweat proof and breathable. My horse loves to swim and roll afterwards. They stay in place very well. The only drawback is they tend to roll up around the hooves. It is advisable to wash them about once a week to remove caked on dirt. I definitely recommend them!
Bad Quality

Dont buy these. I love my Cashel horse mask so I had high hopes for these. They're literally torn up into pieces. Not a good quality. They were on for one day, when I went out the next day they were destroyed.
Not what I expect from Cashel

These are not the Cashel fly boots of old. I still have an original set, which after at least 10 summers, is just starting to show signs of wear. The Velcro is super-Velcro; still hard to undo, which is great. The old boots envelop the entire leg.
Let's move to the ones I just bought. They are flimsy, with weaker Velcro, and they both tore at the 2nd seam from the top. In the first week! Also, I bought a pair which was supposed to be Horse size, which are too small for my Paint. The Arab size "just" fits my small Arab. They also leave a gap at the front. Overall, not impressed, and this loyal Cashel customer will be looking elsewhere from now on.
