This is a cute addition to any wine and aviary enthusiast's collection of wine gadgets
Functionality - It really chirps like a bird. Sort of a high pitched glug-glug noise. the wine does not come out the sides and the stopper works well in every bottle I've tried it on so far.
Problems - This isn't necessarily a problem, but the reason it gets 4 stars. If your spending over $20 for a plastic bird you should expect it to do something other than just chirp if your going to get it out and put it in the bottle. It doesn't aerate the wine at all or very minimally which it should for the price of a cheap wine aerator. It also offers no way to store the bottle horizontally without it spilling out (i.e. no stopper can be placed in the birds mouth).
Conclusion- If your looking for a fun gift for a bird and wine lover in your life, you've found the product. It's adorable on top of the bottle and really makes a chirping sound when you pour. However, if this same bird and wine lover is very into wine I would suggest spending your money on something that has a little bit more practicality.
