I wear a 7 1/4 Stetson, so I ordered this helmet in Large. Fits perfectly. Loose enough for comfort, but I can bend fully in any direction without the strap and it doesn't fall off.
The packaging was sturdy and free of damage, the helmet inside in a foamy wrap and carrying bag. Overall, no issues.
The liner is fairly thick and comfortable, not too hot. It detaches well for cleaning. The chin strap is a standard D-ring, and the strap has a snap-button on the end to secure the strap so it's not flapping in the wind. The snap is not meant for weight or to secure the helmet, only the end of the strap when buckled. It's very a comfortable and secure fit.
The visor is a handy feature. It's left-hand operated and has two positions. The first position stops at my eye level, the second goes down to the bridge of my nose (somewhat rounder face). It does not prevent air/debris from entering under the visor, so you still need eye protection. However, the tint is great for the sun, so you can wear your glasses or clear goggles under (which are more appropriate for night riding than the visor). There were a few smudges on the visor, so I just wiped it with a clean cloth. It had some lubricant or oil on it from the manufacturer. A quick wipe with the bottom of a cotton t-shirt cleared it right up. The visor goes fully into the helmet, so you don't have to use it. Goggles, riding glasses, and prescription glasses all should fit easily under the visor when down, and definitely when up. All of the complaints I read about the visor are explained by user error (glasses don't fit behind, bottom edge only comes down to eye level, and is blurry or smudged).
As another buyer mentioned, it is DOT approved so the thickness from liner to outer shell is over an inch. Overall, while it is a tad bulky, it's not overly bulky. It still looks good when worn, without sacrificing protection.
Very happy with the purchase, and will look at Torc helmets for my wife because of this experience.

Not loose that it feels like it rattles around without the chin strap cinched up ...

On Sizing: I ordered a large, you should know that I wear a 7 1/2 hat size with a short hair cut.
The large size fit my head well. Snug. Not tight enough to give you the headache from an over tight helmet. Not loose that it feels like it rattles around without the chin strap cinched up tight.
On Looks: good looking helmet. But since it is a DOT half helmet that means there is about 1" of padding between your head and outer layer. This is NORMAL for actual melts and you do get a bit of the "mushroom look" with it. But once I drop the lens/visor down it actually mitigates that.
The Visor. Heard lots of complains in the reviews about the Visor being blurry to the point of unusable. And yes, if you pull it out of the box and put it on and drop the visor it seems blurry! But this was not really the plastic. I cleaned the visor with lens wipes (for glasses, camera lenses) and removed whatever oily substance was on the plastic and it is MUCH better! Is it perfect like a pair of polarized 200 dollar sunglasses? no. But it is clear enough that I have ridden 100 miles with it through traffic and on the highway and feel perfectly comfortable. This is great for me as my regular glasses are fairly small and dont block the wind, but I can wear them behind this visor and the wind block is great around the eyes.
The chin strap: it is a typical config with two D fasteners that you have to pull the strap through. I wish more helmet manufacturers would just go to a quick release already, but since this is pretty normal I am not going to ding this helmet.
Value: Decent value. I bought 3 different helmets on-line from three diff manufacturers (all half helmets) and this is the one I decided to keep for myself. I will keep on of the other 2 for passengers.
Overall people mostly gripe about sizing (hard to get right unless you know your size w/ that manufacturer) or the Visor clarity (CLEAN IT FIRST WITH ALCOHOL AND TOWELS OR A LENS WIPE FRONT AND BACK!, or the chin strap, which I found pretty normal across helmets I tested.

You pay for what you get and for the price, it’s a 5-star

Packaging: Opened the box and honestly, it's on par with some of the more premium brands. It's wraped in a protective layer while encased in a carrying pouch.
Feel: it's solid. The actual helmet material feels very sturdy and the matte finish helps it carry its aggressive, murdered out looks.
Look: Looks better than most, of not all, the other half helmets I've looked at. You'd be hard pressed to find another half helmet that has a better looking American flag on it. It's very stylistic to the helmet and the aggressive look.
Features: I read complaints about comfort, the visor and the chin strap. I am an intermediate oval shaped head. I wear the helmet with a balaclava tactical mask and transitional lens riding glasses underneath. Yes, for the reviewer he said s/he couldn't wear glasses underneath, that is just patently false! I even wear the visor as it gets dark outside and there has never been an issue of blurring nor an issue of the visor not extending far enough to offer protection. So to answer why do I wear another set of glasses under the visor? It's simple, I never ride without eye wear that does not shield me from dust and other debris items. My transitional riding glasses have a gasket that seals to my face. Also, if I wear to ride in the darkest hours I would be able to flip up the visor and have clear eyewear.
Let me address the strap- it's a typical D Ring strap with a functional snap button. The button isn't meant for use other than securing the end of the strap once tightened to your chin... and it does it's job hands down. So any complaint about the snap not working when hanging the helmet on handlebars or otherwise should not be a factor here. You pay for what you get folks and for a helmet that meets DOT, has a drop dead awesome look and a visor- it's nothing short of 4.8 stars.
If anyone has any apprehension or second thoughts of purchasing this helmet, ask a question within the Amazon items area and I will personally take your question to task and get back to you.

Great half helmet for the price.

This helmet is great! I was looking for a half helmet that I wouldn't have to put out a lot of $$'s. This helmet is comfortable to wear and feels very solid. Only issue I noticed was the sun visor has a little bit of distortion, but I use riding glasses that are tinted, so I don't use the visor. Great product. I would have given it 5 stars had the visor been a better quality.
Visor does not drop down far enough

I like the styling of the helmet. Had to return a XL and exchange it for a large as all brands of helmets are sized differently. (My Harley helmet is a xxl) The only negative thing is that the tinted visor DOES NOT drop down far enough. The bottom of the lens is directly in my field of vision so I do not use it.
