My girlfriend doesn't like it, but I do. It fits and matches my very old blue jacket, which she also doesn't like, but I do. Walking around in public, I also feel very sheltered inside this hat's militarized comfy seclusion from the world. In other words, when I'm in public I don't feel like I'm in public when I'm wearing this hat. I feel like I'm in a personal downy wonderland.

I'm told not to wear it in ex-communist countries, so in a way you can consider the item region-locked. But I usually wear it to get night-time snacks from the taco stand, and it's cheap enough that I can consider alternatives where necessary.

Purchased this for a trip to Sweden in February, including a few days north of the Arctic Circle. This hat kept my head warm and comfortable. I attempted to use the face shield a few times but it was very difficult for me to attach it after I was already outdoors with my gloves on. Needed to have someone else attach it for me. Otherwise it was great.

Best winter hat ever. I think its a Ushanka or Russian winter hat. It combines a trapper hat, scarf and ski mask. It works great. I worked outside at -5 Fahrenheit and was still warm. I never realized how cold my neck was until I switched to this hat. My glasses fog up when I use the ski mask part but other than that its perfect. I will buy it again and recommend it to others. I wear a size 7 hat. I think it would be to small for a size 8 hat head.

I just moved from VA to WI (not the best time of year to do that move folks) and my neighbor recommended one of these trapper hats. It works great, keeps my head really warm when I walk the dog every night, even in seriously cold (-19F) weather when the dog needs his booties(!). It is easy to put on and it stays on even in strong winds and has a really comfortable fit. My only criticism is I don't use the face shield. It probably works for others, but if I wear it, my breath blows upwards and if you wear spectacles like I do they steam up and the condensation freezes so you can't see where you are going. Apart from that minor flaw these are great. I bought my wife a pink one for Christmas and she likes hers as well. Recommended.

Keeps your head, ears, neck and face toasty warm on those especially cold days. The highly reflective grey strip down the back is a nice touch so instead of appearing like your stereotypical masked murderer in all black (my husband's choice of attire) he appears like a fashionable masked murderer. I would highly advise removing the face shield when you enter any public locations...churches, stores, banks you name it. Otherwise you may find yourself on the receiving end of some strange looks and good old fashioned law enforcement interrogation techniques. *Additional bonus for all you practical jokers......if you really want to spice up your marriage or scare the crap out of your spouse I would suggest putting this on in the middle of the night and then lovingly waking up them up. Imagine the look of shear terroristic surprise on their face (True Story)!!
