The shade folds fine except the velcro strap to keep it closed is just too short. 1/2 inch more would work great. I'm bending the shade to keep it folded. If not closed properly, it pops open and is intrusive in the car.
You HAVE TO use the suction cups

The product comes folded in half so it just collapses if you only use your visors to keep it in place - you have to use the suction cups. The suction cups work just fine for me, but they leave marks on the window and won't last forever. It does keep the car cooler, just not as user friendly as stiffer products that don't need suction cups.

I bought this just for the material to make an insulated pot cozy for rehydrating meals while backpacking. Worked great for that purpose! Really flimsy if you actually wanted to use it as a sunshade for your car though.
