I bought this based on the reviews. I was kind of scared that I wasn't going to like it when it arrived because I had previously bought the chemical guys detail light. That one was 140 lumens and just didn't give me what I wanted when I was paint correcting (I am your average weekend warrior.) let me tell you that I was blown away on how I can see the swirls on a car when I tried 50SLMAX. I don't know why I never went with this one in the first place and I feel like an idiot. If you're a weekend warrior and are trying to have a tool like this, then buy this. You wont be disappointed and I still can't quite understand why the Scangrip is twice as much and they are both basically the same.

I am no expert on automotive paint work. I work out of my garage at home on my various hobby vehicle projects. Sometimes I think I buy too many tools. This light is a game changer for me. I can inspect my work between coats to see where I have coverage problems. This light has dramatically improved my paint results. The settings for dark or light color paint is very helpful a feature which I completely discounted. I know I could do all manner of upgrades to my shop but that will never happen due to costs. I am very glad I bought this tool.
