Works perfectly. Easy install.

It's a little speedy, but considering the work and expense of drywall work to move a switch, wires and all, it's a good value. Works perfectly and easy to install.
A must have if you want a 2nd light switch.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered the runlesswires light switch so that I could put in a second light switch in my garage.
I've got a three car garage and of course the builder only puts the minimum amount of lights in there, never enough light. I could've taken the time and went and bought the additional wire, fished it down the wall to the one light switch and across (try to find all the studs to go through) the garage. Then run invto another light switch or go on the outside of the drywall, which would not look good.
Then I found this switch. I looked at a lot of different, so-called smart switches, that would require you to run off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and even have batteries that you'd need to change in the future for your light switches.
This does none of that. It doesn't require any battery, Bluetooth, wifi, etc
The kit that I purchased came with two switches and one receiver.
The receiver simply wires into your existing house wiring. According to the instructions mine didn't require a ground hook up. Then that's it. You then mount the switches wherever you want to. I mounted the 1st switch over the receiver where my original light switch was. The 2nd switch I mounted on a small piece of wood over by my garage service door which leads outside.
Was it expensive. Yes and no.
Looking at the price, of course it's initially sticker shock.
However when you take into account trying to wire a switch yourself and buying the wire, the switch, and your time, it's not expensive. Then look at the price of an electrician. I'm sure an electrician would charge a bunch more than the price of this kit to run wire, fish that wire through walls, another light switch, etc.
For me it wasn't expensive considering those factors.
Longevity. Who knows. I'm new to this and how it last and never gives out. The manufacture does provide a 5yr warranty.

This is a Very Well-Designed Switch/Controller Combo and Does Work Over Long Distances

First of all, I am a retired radar systems engineer, and I am familiar with the RF frequency being used to switch this controller. I only recently installed the switches and associated controller, so I cannot claim knowledge of their reliability over time, but from what I have seen so far, as well as discussed with the Runlesswire company, I think that this switch/controller combo is great and very well thought out. On the negative side, let me say that attempting to install the switch and controller within the same box is tough. I had to add a small extension to the box. In my case this was an external box by my pool so it was no big deal. This outside box was metal, so the control signal was not about to get into the box from the remote switch without my adding a way for the antenna to be exposed. I added a short (2") threaded PVC tube with end cap to extend the antenna, so this was another reason that I needed some room in the box to put the antenna in position. This is not required if using a plastic box. I wanted the remote switch up at my house and placed it in an existing box that had been used with the original remote switch, installed over 10 years ago using an older technology. The box was plastic, which was good, but it was next to the leader for the gutters, which deflected the signal away from the direction I wanted it to go. I solved the problem by placing metal foil on the opposite side of the box to redirect the signal. This worked great. Note that in order to get to the antenna on the box by the pool the signal had to go about 123 ft, including a bounce off the metal fence behind the pool back to that antenna on the opposite side of the pool. That all worked great, but I was concerned about having to replace a switch or controller at some later date, and discussed this with the company. While it is clear that the controller can be programmed to match a replacement switch, it is also possible to add multiple switches to the same controller, so it is not necessary to have all switches set to the same signal. They thought of many issues when designing this, so while this switch may appear expensive, you are getting your money's worth!
Works as described

This worked well in a finish room to operate a new ceiling light
A little pricey but good quality wireless switches

I really like the battery-less operation (self-generating electricity) switches to actuate the load. And I like the fact that like regular wired switches, these rocker switches don't require you to press in a specific area of the switch to get it to actuate. The system is not cheap, but it works well and certainly easier than running wires to a 4-way switch series. The only minor thing is aesthetic - the rocker switches stay in the middle position vs. being "up" (off) or "down" (on) as do wired rocker switches.
