Sleek and sturdy phone mount, even for those phablets!

I installed this directly to the stem on my State fixie, and it has held steady through 40+ miles of usage. The angle adjustment normally stays right where I put it to begin with, unless I'm riding over some particularly big bumps. I used a Speck clear case on my Note 8, and even with the large size of the phone, I have no worries about the mount dropping my phone. The mounting mechanism seems strong enough to prevent drops and damage, but is still easy to detach at the end of my ride.
Overall, I am very impressed with this phone mount, and will be purchasing another soon for my girlfriend's bike.

Super easy install to my post. I was nervous about the screw length after reading some reviews but it was perfect for my Trek. It fit very securely. My one issue is that when riding it really doesn't stay put at the angle I start out with. It doesn't feel flimsy at all but by the time I get home from a ride it's "flat". It all good. It's still the best mount I've had. Love it!

It seems like high quality metal but two issues I had which caused a return:
1) the tab that keeps the phone in place on the mount is very flimsy. Does not give me confidence that it would keep the phone clipped in during heavy bumps.
2) Does not work on a bike with carbon forks that uses a compression top cap. It says this in fine print in the instructions but not in the description online. This would have saved me from ordering this in the first place.
Great price but point 1 above makes it a non-starter for me.
