We have outlets on the end of our kitchen counters. We have been using the adapters for our Apple lightning cords, but the adapters and cords stick out into the aisle used by all coming and going from the kitchen. At first I order those outlet that have the usb port included with the 110v outlets. But, it turns out they are quite thick. The contractor had installed outlet boxes that were only half depth of normal because directly behind the box was a kitchen drawer. This is fantastic. Though I was a bit annoyed that the charging ports on phones were changed to USB-C, necessitating purchasing adapters for all of my chargers and portable battery packs, I do see the benefit of the change. One of the best features is that you don't have to worry about which direction the plug is facing in order to plug it into the phone. I don't know how many times I tripped trying to plug my old phone cord in, in the dark while trying not to wake my husband up. Now it's simple. This charging port is nice. I especially like the ultra thin design that husga the wall. No worries about destroyed plug prongs because the port was hit by a piece of furniture, as was a worry with the older protruding models. This is super handy and it can accommodate both my old USB-A and new USB-C devices. Add to that, that it's very well made and reasonably priced.
Tucks the cords away nicely.

These are SWEET. I'm using them on my kitchen counters to get from the AC outlets to inductive chargers with shorty 8" cables. All very clean and tidy. My chargers are only 5W so I haven't pushed these adapters to their limits. I like the flat profile, not like other USB wall warts that hang out from the wall more than an inch. And the USB ports on the bottom route the cables right down to the countertop where I want them.
This is so much better than those bulky USB charging connectors that come with your device.

I love the fact that this charging port is flat and that the USB cables connect on the side rather than the current industry standard. I have an outlet on the back of both night stands in my Bedroom. I had to pull them out at least 3 to 4 inches from the wall just to be able to fit my phone and watch chargers. It looked terrible in my opinion having the cables visible to the naked eye. This port solved that problem and even charges my devices faster than the ports that came with my devices. This is a must item to have if you're anal retentive or OCD like I am. I'm going to order more for every bedroom in my house.
