This seems like a product in search of a purpose. The screen it comes with does not filter out much of anything coming out of the brew kettle.

Let me 1st say that this does the job but....... only if you don't have a lot of sediment in your beer. I brew with grain bags and hop filters so I really don't have a lot of leftover sediment and it does a good enough job of picking up stragglers when I am transferring my beer to keg. I however would highly recommend getting the 50 gauge mesh screen as the smaller parties will flow through this screen easily.
