Great product but, do your research on compatibility with your boat before purchase
Matt Smedley•September 19, 2017
I had high hopes, but the product did not perform as we had expected. We used it on a 24ft Supreme Surf boat. The Supreme already had a wakeplate technology, and we hoped that this would enhance the existing system and allow for quick setup and easy surf-side changes, but unfortunately, we still had to put a lot of weight into the FatSacs. It only really worked when we had a ton of weight on the surf-side of the boat. Really disappointed. Could be the boat more than anything though. It is a boat we use as part of a time share, so we don't have a ton of time to try to dial it just right. Overall the product is high quality, well built, and it does float. Sticks very nicely on the side without any issue. Just not excited about the wave produced.
My surf wake is much much larger now and has a nice shape to it

This device kicks butt! I have a 2001 Ski Centurion Eclipse-v. This boat is just a ski hull in which Centurion installed a v-drive and turned it into a wakeboarding crossover boat. I have 400# fat sacs in each rear ski locker. There was no dropping of the rope prior to Swell. With Swell and both sacs filled to capacity, the change in the wake is dramatic. My surf wake is much much larger now and has a nice shape to it. The wake even has a little curl to it occasionally. I can now surf rope free behind this old ski hull. Best money I've spent on sports equipment this summer.
Wow, just wow, surfing with this has made ...

Wow, just wow, surfing with this has made a huge difference!!! I use this on my 2014 Moomba Mobius LSV. I now fill both the rear bags even to 900lbs each on both sides and this thing throws a clean long wave to whichever side its not mounted to. Don't have to list the boat anymore, making it much easier to drive and so much faster to switch riders form different sides. Looks the exact same as the picture shows, and floats. I've never had it fall off during surfing and even forgot to remove it once and came up to speed 20+ mph before I realized it was still on and it never came loose. It floats so if you accidently drop it while mounting it you don't have to worry about it sinking to the bottom of the lake. Wish I had bought long ago!
Won't surf without it!

Won't surf without it! We thought we had a pretty good setup on the 2006 Mastercraft 245 with just the internal ballasts and our added 550s to the rear holds. Of course switching from Left to Right surfers took some time pumping out to balance and shifting riders around, but wake was pretty good. THAT WAS UNTIL we added the SWELL Wake Creator 2.0!! Had a fantastic weekend of surfing with the most incredible smooth wake yet. No queuing up riders for left/right side, just a quick transition of the SWELL for whomever wanted to go next. No messing with ballasts at all or need to shift riders around the boat. Wake was almost impossible NOT to surf. And almost a little too big for our novice, tiny surfer (5' and 100 lbs), who made it up and rope free for the first time and every time after. BUY THIS!!! You won't be sorry! Unless you wait until end-of-season. Make it a Christmas Gift NOW!
Pros:
Great Design
No issues with placement
No issues with coming loose
Cons:
None Encountered
Wish we had bought it earlier in the season!

While I have a 1500 lb ballast system the wake has never been good enough to ride rope free
Jeffrey Martin•September 4, 2017
I got mine in last week. I have a 2008 Moomba Mobius LSV designed for wakeboarding prior to the wakesurf explosion. While I have a 1500 lb ballast system the wake has never been good enough to ride rope free. I had tried all speeds, wake plate set up, ballast movement and loading boat passengers differently with no luck. After I installed my Creator 2.0 and got gotten, it was instntly noticeable how much larger and well shaped the wake was. I was riding rope free before lunch for the first time.
Very easy to install. It actually floats as advertised, although I still used the provided tether rope just in case. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
