I ordered this for the office because the price was a good deal, but the smell is awful, every time I use it, it just stinks so bad.. I'm not sure what the cause is, but I will never order it again. I rather pay more money then put up with the stink. It's too late to return, since I didn't need to open it sooner, but I definitely would have if I was able to.

Having a packing tape dispenser on my kitchen counter makes life simple and easy. I use it daily to seal up bags and boxes that might be vulnerable to bugs. I buy a lot of bird seed, cereal, and grains since I have a houseful of birds. The packing tape seals up products better than new after they have been opened. Every kitchen should have this available.

Seller contacted me immediately after I left my initial review, thinking I had received a "bad batch" of tape. Sent replacement tape right away, told me to keep the first batch. I was VERY impressed with this level of customer attention. Great job!
The second shipment of tape is much less strong in smell, and definitely acceptable at this price point. I have been using my first batch to ship packages, and I would still say it works fine for being half the price of Scotch heavy duty shipping tape. I use a little bit more per package, but not so much that it exceeds the savings. Works great for shipping light to medium packages, which is exactly what I bought it for. After shipping a dozen Priority Mail medium flat rate boxes, I like this just fine, and YOU CANNOT beat the service!

Decent value for the money

The tape is a good value for the money, but the 3M tape is thicker and stronger. This tape has a pretty pungent smell you do not get from the 3m brand, but that aside, it is not a bad value for the money. I always feel that when sealing our boxes with this tape we need to use a bit extra since our boxes are 40lbs each. With other tape we do not have to use as much.

I was hesitant about buying more expensive tape (normally buy supposedly 2mil tape for about 25% less than this). Decided to give this tape a try. I'm definitely a convert now. Using a good 3M tape gun, this tape lays down extremely flat. No wrinkles, no bunching. Much less tape necessary to seal and it sticks better. Yes, it costs a bit more. But what is your time worth? If you're having to use more tape and push down ends to make them stick, you're wasting time. Definitely re-ordering more.
