My 88 year old mother has a an electric adjustable bed with a twin extra long mattress set on top of the metal bed frame. There are no box springs. Because of her difficulty getting up onto her feet, she has a tendency to slide at the mattress edge as she stands. This resulted in the mattress slipping on the metal bedframe. Several times the mattress has slid half way off the bed. The Gorilla Grip Mattress Gripper Pad solved the problem! We placed it on the metal frame and put the mattress on top. I bought two of these, one for my daughter's bed and one for my mom's. Both mattresses are memory foam on a metal base (no box spring). This works amazingly. I was skeptical at first, like how could this sheet of rubber keep an entire mattress from moving? But it does! I bought this not for my bed, but for my couch. We have a microfiber couch with sort of a very thick muslin on the underside of the cushions. They kept slipping out from the back of the couch, leaving a big hole between the back of the cushion and the back of the couch. I cut one of these king size gripper things in half length-wise and laid it out under my couch cushions. While it doesn't completely stop the cushions from moving, we are having to adjust them WAY less (every time we sat on them vs maybe once every 2-3 weeks now). I call that a win!
