The media could not be loaded. After hanging for a couple weeks I placed my grandmother's photograph near the pendulum just a day after her birthday and found what looks like a rose in the sand the next morning! She loved tending to her flower gardens and was especially fond of roses.

Did what I was supposed to, didnt even use all the sand, extra shown in pic. Used the sleeve to make the bowl shape with the sand used and if the pendulum actually swings wide enough to touch the outside of the sand 'bowl' it spills over the edge. Took more sand out and it was still doing it. Only way it stopped is if you take out enough that its almost flat and then design is just the middle and incomplete.
Still love it, just have to get rhe sand JUST right in order to have full design and no spillover. A taller lip on the edge would solve this problem.

I put a tray underneath to catch the sand. It's a basic pendulum. The black part is plastic, I wouldn't expect much more. I used a little rake from my other desk sand thing to smooth out the sand. Prior to that, I just used a spoon.
Not sure how to spread the sand evenly with the pin it comes with.

I feel like the string is too long. I am not sure but it is way too close to the sand so I removed some sand so that the pendulum can move more freely but I do not think I did it correctly. I used the pin and rolled it around but all I did was make a mess with the sand. When I ask a question I feel I have to move it. I thought it was supposed to move on its own with energy! I am so confused. It looks nice at my altar but I feel like its an object I know nothing about!
