Stable and easy to use

Bought this for my parents in their 70s, to keep them active during inclement/winter weather. They love using it and have noted their movement esp in their legs have improved after using this daily/every other day. My dad has pain in his right leg when walking too long so this is ideal for him as he can sit upright with good posture and just pedal away. This bike is adjustable so people of different heights can share it, and doesn't need complicated programming as my parents who are not digital savvy are able to use it. When I visit my parents, I use it once in a while if I can't make it to the gym and think it's better than the upright stationary bikes which tends to make you lean forward with bad posture.
Big fan of this bike

When the box arrived it was super heavy and a little beaten up so immediately I was concerned at what I'd gotten myself into. But once I spent time laying out the parts I realized it wasn't going to be that difficult of an assembly at all and everything arrived in good shape (everything except the box that is). I was able to put it together very simply by myself in about 1.5 hours (some distractions in between). In regards to the functionality of it, I just can't get over how quiet it is. Our last bike was so loud that if you wanted to watch tv and bike the tv volume had to be very high. All other features are as to be expected. 2 profiles can be created, great tension capability, comfortable seat, etc etc.
Good machine with a few issues

Bought this for the hubby who has no time for a gym. This machine came in a box which looked like it's been around for a while. I had trouble dragging it into the house on my own as the box was huge and heavy. one of the pieces were was pretty scratched up maybe when we were assembling the bike. The bike was a lot longer than we thought (our bad for not reading the specs more closely) but everything seems pretty sturdy. I like how the peddles ride. We've had it for about 2 weeks so far. I feel like it's more for medium height person. I am only 5'1 so when I turn on the fan it's blowing on my forehead. When I place my phone or Ipad on the stand I have to keep my head tilted up so kinda tough for my neck when I am doing a longer workout. Hubby is 5'6 & this seems to be perfect for him. The heart rate monitor does not show an actual number but just shows a range of % max heart rate. sometimes it takes a long time to register & other times it jumps around. It'd be nice if it functions normally all the time but it's not a deal breaker for me since I got it during a sale for $250+tax so I thought it's still a pretty good deal.
Nice quality, fun features and SO comfortable!

This recumbent bicycle is the first piece of exercise equipment that I have really enjoyed, and continued to want to use. In a month I've put more miles on it than I'd ever have imagined. It's comfortable and fun to ride in my living room while watching TV or reading a book. I was afraid it would be hard to put together. The box was heavy and cumbersome, but once I got it into the house and the parts removed, it was simple to do by myself in just a couple of hours. It would be ideal to have a second person for the front assembly part, but not necessary. There was some elbow grease requited to tighten all of the screws into place so that it doesn't feel rickety or make noises. Once that's done it feels tight and is incredibly smooth and quiet. I rode a Precor at the gym and liked it, but think this is more comfortable. The gel seat cushion shown as a "frequently purchased together" option didn't fit the seat and wasn't necessary. The seat is comfortable for up to a 2 hour work out with couple of quick breaks. The one at the gym was uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. Haven't tried the speakers yet, and while the fan is weak it's still a fun little feature. I haven't synched with the main web link for the display panel because it's been fine for my needs without doing this. All I want is really to be able to track time and distance. The pulse meter is hit or miss, so if that's a concern maybe track it a different way. I'm 57 and 5'8" and find that the fit is ideal. It's easy to adjust for multiple users, and a much shorter friend also found it comfortable to use. I'm very happy with this bike!
Athletic club quality for the home
Patrick✓ Verified Purchase•August 6, 2017
I have been looking, for some time, for an athletic club quality recumbent bike for my home. This Schwinn meets that requirement without breaking the bank or requiring an engineering degree with a Japanese/ Chinese language fluency to put it together. 1.5 hours, including eating lunch, to assemble. No special tools required . Works like a dream. Excellent value!
