I like it ok, but it did come up short on the expectations. Top of the list is the sound. The box is small and the sound is good, but small. Everything should be sized up. For a bedside radio, its probably ok, but for a kitchen, shop or studio the sound is going to come up short. The other main shortcoming is that it is not Alexa compatible. You can bluetooth it and have voice control, but the strong point of the radio is the internet radio which must be hands on control. I'm not sending it back, but feel that waiting a bit longer would have delivered all the goodies. For $400 they should have had all the goodies and big sound.

Great Internet radio. Good sound quality, lots of stations and easy to use. A little pricey but I'd say you get what you pay for, here.

Several years ago I purchased a Tivoli radio as a Christmas gift for my wife. We were both very pleased by the build quality and great sound quality of the radio, and when I saw that Como Audio was formed by Tom DeVesto who had been involved with Tivoli and who has an outstanding reputation dating back many years for building high quality audio products, I researched and ultimatley purchased the Duetto. It arrived a day earlier than expected, and within 20 minutes or less I had it fully set up, connected to my wireless network and operational as an internet radio, as a device to play back my music on Spotify, as a device for streaming my iTunes music in the cloud from my phone or iPad, and streaming audio using the Plex app on my QNAP TS-453mini NAS unit. The sound quality exceeded even my high expectations with rich solid (not boomy) base and sparkling clear mid-range and treble. In fact, the more I listened to various sources on the Duetto the more I became impressed by just how good it sounds. The Duetto is far superior to any Bluetooth speaker or other device comparable in size in terms of the audio quality that it produces It was interesting to compare the sound quality on the Duetto of my iTunes music (streamed at 128 kb/sec) with music streamed from my Premium Spotify account (320 kb/sec). I had always felt my iTunes library sounded pretty good but the difference in bit rate was clealry audible with Spotify producing a notably better listening experience on the Duetto.

I want to also comment on the remarkable build quality of the Duetto. The walnut cabinet is solid with no music destroying vibations. The quality of the drivers and amplifier in the Duetto are excellent for their size as noted by the very fine audio quality of the unit given a good source. The LCD screen is as large as the Dueeto can accomodate and is sharp and clear even from across my listening room. The included remote control as well as the Como Audio Control App worked perfeclty and provide a great deal of convenience not usually found with similar products. The manual for the Duetto, provided as a downloadable pdf on the Como Audio web site, is more than 60 pages and covers every aspect of the setup and use of the Duetto. Tom DeVesto has also done a terrific on his web site with instructional videos and a great deal of information about the Duetto and his company. Finally the fact that Tom DeVesto has replied courteously and in detail to virtually every single review posted here is further evidence of his confidence and pride in the products of Como Audio and his desire to see every customer satisfied with their pruchase. This is all too rare in today's retail world. In summary, the Duetto is a superb product worth every penny and a delight to use. I am delighted with my purchase of the Duetto.

1. Directly using the Solo's knobs (which I found easy to access and use)
2. Using the included remote control
3. Using the ios or android app (particularly nice for surfing the thousands of internet radio stations available from around the world) You don't have to be tethered to your phone or tablet to operate your Solo, but you have those options and they are intuitive and fun to use

Six pre-set buttons: it's so cool to have crystal clear internet reception for our local NPR stations, BBC, Italian radio, African stations, etc all at the touch of a single button

Ability to have several Solo and Duettos in your home and control them centrally and have them play the same or different programming in each room (we have a Duetto in the kitchen, and a Solo in the master bedroom)

Display with option of analog or digital clock

Ability to set two alarms with great programmability options (daily, weekday, weekend... awake to a variety of sources...)

I would not hesitate in buying a Como Audio Solo or Duetto: design, build quality, sound, connectivity, and features are unbeatable and well worth the price.
