My daughter needed a black dress for a band concert and this dress is too cute! She's a tad small for her age but because of other reviews I went ahead and bought a size 12. the dress is slightly big in the arms but not horrible. I would suggest a petticoat if you would like the shirt to flare more or look fuller. The dress itself is made of a thick black material and there is a white liner inside the dress. The white belt has no notches but does have a band to thread the extra belt through. I highly suggest this dress!! It's a great product for the price!!

The dress is beautiful and was a perfect fit. Sizing runs true to size. I ordered a 5/6 for my 6 year old. She's 48" tall and weighs about 46 lbs. My daughter is pretty slender and the bodice will give her a little room to grow. The dress is perfect for twirling (just make sure to put cartwheel shorts under it first!). Enjoy!!
