🪴Looks beautiful in my backyard!🪴

We have two garden areas in our backyard for our veggies in the summertime"¦ They are huge and I really wanted a little more room to plant a couple more veggie/flower plants. This raised garden box was perfect for at least a couple more plants and I'm going to order another one for another veggie plant for the summer. It wasn't too difficult to put together with the instructions included. ...My hubby put this together in about 30 minutes. We used a drill because it was easier on our lazy old muscles😂😂but it can be done with a good screwdriver and some elbow grease. The wood pieces that come together on the main panels are joined together with finger joints.
The finished garden planter box is absolutely beautiful, like outdoor furniture, and totally sturdy. We put 1 layer of peat moss on the bottom, 2 layers of planting soil and 1 layer of garden bed soil... 4 bags in all for a perfect amount of material to plant our veggies and some herbs. Love it! This is a great planter box"¦ You will enjoy it as much as we do!🌸

Perfect for a shaded, space poor area

I was so excited for this planter. I have a small shaded spot in the yard that I really wanted to utilize because I've been working on my planting skills for the last 2 years and there are a couple plants I wanted to try in dappled shade and this planter helped me utilize the maximum space for what I wanted and still look nice. We used the deeper back end to plant rhubarb, since it basically needs a year before harvesting, leeks in the center tier, and mustard greens on the bottom since they didn't need as much room and so far the planter has held up beautifully to the soil amount and plants.
It came packaged well and the instructions were simple and illustrated. It was a little iffy differentiating the corner pieces at first since they weren't labeled, until I realized the direction the grooves would have to go in to make each tier top each other and then putting it together was a breeze. None of my wood split and everything fit together the way it was supposed to, so that was a def happy surprise. Not like some warped stuff we get from the local Depot. And it was easy to move once it was put together

These are not perfect, but for the price, they're pretty great. My yard has gophers, rabbits, fruit rats, squirrels, birds... we had built a garden with a bunch of chicken wire, but with a toddler, we wanted something less pokey. So, I decided to turn this fenced in patio into a garden.
The wood is thin and dry, but I was able to assemble two of them with just a screw driver. My advice is... just go slow and pay attention to the smaller joining pieces. There were a few minor cracking sounds, but the wood did not crack in any significant way. The first one was quite impressive. With the second one, I noticed the wood was cut a bit more roughly.
I then painted the outside with a water sealer and bought 4x4 liners (since they're on cement). I filled each with 6x 2 cu feet of planter box soil plus a little dirt from my yard. As you can see, they can be filler further. Now that I'm watering, I worry the top level dirt will slide down under the wood panels. But it's a learning process.
I'm also learning the patio gets too hot for spinach.
All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. It's not perfect, but it's really good for the price. The liners were $35 on Target.com. If it lasts a few years, I'll be happy.
