Great bulbs as represented

Super bright. Just what I wanted. They just give you "light". You don't get any colored light such as white or yellow you just get light.

I wanted a very "white" light that was not harsh and these are perfect. I followed the recommendations from a contractor who was very explicit about the specs.

My basement office is without windows, so all my lighting must be done by fixtures. I have about 10 mini cans that hang from the ceiling to add a theater tec sort of appearance--and they can be turned and tilted to point anywhere. I had first started with CFLs as LED bulbs were not on the market and they worked okay, not too much heat but they were always too yellow for my needs. They started to burn out so I replaced them with LED lamps that were the same style but slightly brighter and whiter...this was great for a very short while and then the lamps began to flicker and fail at a ridiculous rate. My final search brought me to these EcoSmart R20 Daylight LED, Dimmable, 600-Lumen, 5000K, 8-Watt lamps. They are perfect! I replaced a few of the stuttering LEDs with a 3 pack as a test and with no failures ordered this 12 pack (a considerable savings of around 50% off four 3 packs). My office is now running only these EcoSmart lamps in the ceiling cans and the room is bright and no longer dingy yellow. You have options for your choice in color temp, but with light gray walls and two walls covered with books, I need bright. For your recessed lighting or specialty fixture requiring a mini spot, I believe you will find these LEDs a dependable source for a long time. (I have no dimmers so cannot speak to that feature.)
